A 20-2 run by the host Dallas Wings to close the third quarter doomed the Sun in their 83-63 loss on Sunday night. Diamond Miller scored 22 points for Connecticut, with Kennedy Burke adding 14 points and Olivia Nelson-Ododa grabbing 11 rebounds. The Sun shot just 34.3% for the game and trailed by as much as 31 points.
Copper averages 21.0 points for the Mercury, with Thomas putting up 15.1 points, 8.4 assists and 7.3 rebounds per game. Leila Lacan leads Connecticut with averages of 12.3 points and 4.4 assists and Nelson-Ododa gets 6.1 rebounds per game.
