Sometimes, you just have to laugh.
Per a first report from Krazy Kev and confirmed by Marcel Dorff, Sedriques Dumas vs. Mickey Gall will square off in a Middleweight matchup at UFC Vegas 121 inside Meta Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada. This is quite a surprising turn of events, as Dumas was finally cut from the UFC roster just last month after multiple losses and arrests.
Frankly, Dumas’ release was already overdue a month ago. “The Reaper” last four fights ended with a trio of losses and one “No Contest” due to illegal low blow. He also couldn’t be trusted to actually make it to fights because of his ankle monitor and alleged crimes. Gall, meanwhile, hasn’t fared much better. Aside from his famous win over CM Punk, Gall has only won five other fights in 10 years on the UFC roster. Gall has lost his last four straight fights, most recently getting knocked out by Ramiz Brahimaj.
This is one of the strangest fights of the year, one that boggles the mind. Fight fans online are baffled by the booking, reacting with outrage and conspiracy theories in the face of this nonsensical addition to UFC Vegas 121. Check out a sample of the reactions below:
