So far, much of the offseason basketball talk in Storrs, Conn., has been about how challenging the UConn men’s basketball schedule is going to be in 2026-27.
Well, it turns out that the UConn women’s schedule is not far behind.

The Huskies released their official non-conference schedule on Monday morning, and it features several national rivals and brand name programs. Some of the matchups were previously known, but some were not, so let’s dive in to what you need to know.
UConn is coming off a 38-1 campaign last season. Their only loss came in the Final Four against South Carolina.

–The Orange advanced to the NCAA Tournament a season ago, winning a game in the Round of 64 before losing to UConn in the Round of 32. Head coach Felicia Legette-Jack is sick of seeing the Huskies in the postseason.

–Texas went 35-4 last season, finishing 13-3 in the challenging SEC. The Longhorns earned a No. 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament before falling to UCLA in the Final Four.

–The Wolverines went 28-7 last season, earning a No. 2 seed in the NCAA Tournament before losing in the Elite 8 against Texas. Michigan was the only team UConn didn’t beat by double-digits in the regular season last year.
–Iowa went 27-7, earning a No. 2 seed in the NCAA Tournament. They were upset by No. 10 Virginia in the Round of 32.

–Ohio State went 27-8, earning a No. 3 seed in the NCAA Tournament and advancing to the Sweet 16.
–Louisville went 29-8, going 15-3 in the ACC and earning a No. 3 seed in the NCAA Tournament. They advanced to the Sweet 16 before losing to Michigan.
–South Carolina beat UConn in the Final Four before losing to UCLA in the national title game. The Geno Auriemma-Dawn Staley storyline will dominate the reunion.

–Duke won the ACC with a 27-9 record and a 16-2 league showing. They lost in the Elite 8 to UCLA after earning a No. 3 seed.

–UNLV went 21-11 last season, missing the NCAA Tournament, but they made three straight from 2022-24.
–Maryland went 24-9, earning a No. 5 seed in the NCAA Tournament.
–Notre Dame was 25-11 and advanced to the Elite 8, where they were beaten by UConn 70-52.
–Tennessee struggled to live up to its standard, going just 16-14 and earning a No. 10 seed.
–LSU went 29-6 overall and 12-4 in SEC play. They lost in the Sweet 16 to No. 3 Duke.
–It should be noted that UConn has only four true non-conference home games. The game against South Carolina will be played at Mohegan Sun and the game against Duke is at TD Garden. The game against Maryland is at Barclays Center.
–Also, the stretch in November features three massive road games in a 10-day span.
