BLOOMINGTON — Indiana basketball‘s nonconference schedule will take on a heavy local flavor, in Darian DeVries’ second season in charge of the Hoosiers.
Announced Tuesday morning, IU’s October-December slate will include three in-state exhibitions against Division I opponents, including an Oct. 18 date with North Carolina in Indianapolis.

The Hoosiers will return to the state capital twice in the regular season, Nov. 9 at Gainbridge Fieldhouse against Syracuse and Nov. 20 at Lucas Oil Stadium against Kentucky, before capping their non-league slate with visits to Assembly Hall from a pair of 2026 NCAA Tournament teams, UCF and Missouri.
IU will also travel to New York for the first time since 2023, for a game against Arkansas on Nov. 17 at Madison Square Garden.
“We are excited about how the nonconference schedule came together,” DeVries said in a statement. “We will get the opportunity to test ourselves in several high-profile, power-conference games this season. We cannot wait to get the season rolling and be back in Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall with Hoosier Nation.”
Indiana will also play two Big Ten games somewhere in the late-November-to-early December window, with the conference schedule expected to be confirmed sometime next month.
