The Valkyries enter at 27-11 and No. 2 in the WNBA standings, while New York is 23-15 and holding on to the sixth seed. The other matchup sees the 23-15 Mystics visit the 13-25 Mercury, who are already eliminated from playoff contention

The Valkyries are back on the court less than 24 hours after beating Connecticut, completing their third back-to-back of the season. Golden State is 3.5 games behind the league-leading Minnesota Lynx, and will try to close the gap with six games left on its schedule.
New York has won seven of its last 10 and will look to protect its position near the top of the East.
