Pico was able to show off his full arsenal by mixing things up with his wrestling and boxing en route to a definitive decision win. He is ready to make a turnaround as soon as summer.
“Probably July or August – I want to keep the ball rolling,” Pico told MMA Junkie Radio. “That’s what I want to do is fight and just keep getting the experience. Of course I can make (UFC 329). I didn’t get beat too bad this fight. I’m a little sore, but other than that, I’m good. So we’ll see.”
Pico still wants to get his loss to Murphy back. The 29-year-old was looking impressive before getting caught with a spinning back elbow towards the end of Round 1.
“The Top 15, anybody is a great fight,m so I’m just staying patient,” Pico said. “Of course I want my rematch with Lerone eventually, and I would love the Movsar (Evloev fight). I would love all the top guys. Anything to get me closer to the title and getting the experience, I’m all for it.”
