The Indiana Fever are backing up the Brink’s truck for three-time WNBA All-Star Aliyah Boston.
The Fever and Boston agreed to a four-year contract extension through the league’s new Exceptional Performance on Initial Contract (EPIC) provision created in the new collective bargaining agreement, the team announced Friday.

ESPN reported that Boston’s four-year deal is worth $6.3 million, marking the largest total salary in league history. She’s set to make $1 million in 2026 and will earn 20% of the salary cap each season through 2029.
“I’m super blessed and grateful for this opportunity and to continue my journey here with the Fever. God is good!” Boston said in a statement shared by the Fever. “I’m excited for the future ahead for both myself and for our team, and I can’t wait to keep building upon everything we have accomplished so far. Go Fever!”
Fever teammate Caitlin Clark celebrated the news, writing on social media, “Absolutely 🙌🏻 congrats AB!!!!!”

The EPIC provision in the league’s new CBA allows players to negotiate a contract extension in the final year of their rookie contract if they’re named to the All-WNBA First or Second Team or named Most Valuable Player in their first three years. Boston qualified for a new contract after being named to the All-WNBA Second Team last season after averaging career-highs in points (15) and assists (3.7).
“Entering just her fourth season, Aliyah is already one of the best players in the WNBA. She’s been a foundational piece of the Indiana Fever since she was drafted here in 2023,” Indiana Fever COO and General Manager Amber Cox said in a statement. “We’re thrilled to be able to reward her with this new contract and make history, and most importantly, lock her in as a cornerstone of the Fever for years to come.”
Boston is the first player in league history to sign a deal under the new EPIC provision. “There is not a better person to go down in history as the first recipient of this type of groundbreaking agreement,” Cox added.
Boston has racked up many accolades in her first three seasons in the league. She was named the 2023 WNBA Rookie of the Year and made the 2023 All-Rookie Team after being drafted first overall by Indiana in 2023. In addition to her 2025 All-WNBA Second Team nod, Boston was named to the 2025 All-Defensive Second Team after setting a single-season franchise rebounds record (361) and helping the Fever to a second-round playoff appearance last season.

Boston hasn’t missed a game in her first three seasons with the Fever.
