
Angel Reese took part in her first training camp with the Atlanta Dream on Sunday. Her arrival in Atlanta marks a new chapter for the star forward following a blockbuster trade.
The Dream acquired Reese from the Chicago Sky in exchange for two future first-round picks. The former LSU Tigers standout spent her first two seasons in the WNBA with Chicago.

The two-time All-Star forward arrives in Atlanta after establishing herself as one of the most dominant rebounders in the league. During her 64 games in Chicago, Reese averaged 14.1 points, 12.9 rebounds, 2.7 assists, and 1.4 steals. She led the league in rebounding for two consecutive seasons.

Despite her individual success, the Sky failed to reach the postseason during her tenure. Now in Atlanta, Reese joins a talented and strong roster led by fellow All-Star Allisha Gray. She said the move offers a “breath of fresh air” and a chance to join a roster focused on winning.

Her initial appearance in Atlanta generated social media buzz after the team posted a video of her on her first day of training camp. The clip, posted on Instagram on Sunday, captured Reese sharing a lighthearted moment with Gray.
The two shared a warm hug before a member of the team’s staff stepped in to physically separate them. The interference caught both players off guard, and the video clearly shows their surprised facial expressions.

Reese’s actions around Gray quickly drew reactions from fans. Many were pleased to see Reese happy and comfortable, building chemistry with Dream teammates.
