The Arizona women’s basketball program had one of the weakest nonconference schedules in the country last year, a slate that was played entirely at home and that lacked any Power 4 opponents. That definitely won’t be the case in 2026-27 when the Wildcats travel to Pauley Pavilion to take on defending champion UCLA.
The game will take place on Thursday, Nov. 12 in Los Angeles. It marks the first time the two programs have faced off since they were both members of the Pac-12.

The Bruins will be one of at least two former Pac-12 foes that Arizona plays this season. The Wildcats will also go up against the Stanford Cardinal as part of the Hall of Fame Series. That game takes place in Las Vegas on Monday, Nov. 2.
UCLA went 37-1 last season, wrapping things up with the first national title under head coach Cori Close. The Bruins defeated South Carolina 79-51 in the national title game in Phoenix. While they lost several top players to graduation, they once again brought in a big haul from the transfer portal.
Stanford went 21-14 before losing to BYU in the WBIT quarterfinals. The Cardinal had to do a rebuild in the offseason after losing a large chunk of the roster to transfer, but they are a solid program from a strong conference.
The two games join the Field Trip Day game against SEMO on Wednesday, Dec. 9 on Arizona’s nonconference schedule. The rest of the lineup will be announced at a later date, as will broadcast information.
