Arman Tsarukyan has made a bold claim about what would’ve happened in a fight with Khabib Nurmagomedov.
Tsarukyan (23-3 MMA, 10-2 UFC) was asked how he would match up against a prime Nurmagomedov, who retired in 2021 undefeated as a UFC lightweight champion.

“It’s probably a decision,” Tsarukyan told Nawid Yosufi (h/t Red Corner MMA). “(Biggest advantage is) my skills, I’m more well rounded than him.”
Tsarukyan is yet to compete for the UFC lightweight title. He was booked for his first opportunity against Islam Makhachev at UFC 311 but withdrew a day before the fight. He has since quickly submitted Dan Hooker at UFC Fight Night 265 this past November.
Tsarukyan also thinks Nurmagomedov’s protege, UFC welterweight champion Makhachev, is better than him.
“Islam is better because he’s more well rounded and has Khabib in his corner,” Tsarukyan told Adin Ross (h/t Red Corner MMA).
