Auburn locks in date for return showdown with Arizona at Neville Arena

Auburn basketball fans can now set their calendar for the Tigers’ non-conference matchup with the Arizona Wildcats.

The Tigers once again have a loaded non-conference slate, and the matchup with the Wildcats is set for Nov. 13 at Neville Arena in Auburn. Arizona posted its non-conference schedule on X (formerly Twitter) that is confirmed to date.

The two met on the hardwood last season with Arizona winning convincingly, 97-68, on its home court. Tahaad Pettiford was the lone bright spot for Auburn in the loss, scoring 30 points. The Wildcats were one of the best teams in college basketball last season.

Arizona played in the Final Four and lost to the eventual national champion Michigan Wolverines. The Wildcats will have a rebuilt roster, having to replace five of their top seven scorers from last season.

The match-up with Arizona is just one of a few tough non-conference games for the Tigers this upcoming season. Auburn will play a preseason game against the Florida State Seminoles in Birmingham at Ballin’ in Boutwell, fans’ first chance to see the new-look Tigers team.

After playing Arizona, Auburn will play in the Players Era tournament in Las Vegas against West Virginia, with the potential of facingh either Kansas or UNLV. Auburn will play Clemson in the ACC-SEC Challenge and Wisconsin in Nashville before starting their SEC schedule on January 2nd with a road game versus Texas A&M.
