Syriah Daniels announces that she is returning to play for Auburn women’s basketball for her junior season.
The 6-foot sophomore played in 30 games for Auburn this season under first-year head coach Larry Vickers. Daniels averaged 2.3 points and 1.5 rebounds per game with a 32.5% shooting. Her best game was in a 68-52 win over Middle Tennessee State, where she dropped 14 points, six rebounds, four assists, two steals, and two blocks.

She is the daughter of former Auburn men’s basketball guard Marquis Daniels. Originally recruited out of Auburn High School, Daniels ranked as the No. 97 in the nation by Dan Olson Collegiate Girls Basketball. In her high school career, she scored over 2,000 points and was named Player of the Year for 2024 by Opelika-Auburn News.
As Vickers rebuilds the program this offseason, he has another piece returning in Daniels to work with next season. Other players returning for Auburn next season are Kaitlyn Duhon and Ja’Mia Harris.
