The Wisconsin Badgers have continued to add to their football front office staff, as they hired former Ohio State linebacker Curtis Grant Jr. as their Director of Player Development, he announced on Friday.
Grant, 33, was a five-star recruit coming out of high school, committing to Ohio State, where he played in 45 games and was a member of the team’s 2014 National Championship team. He went on to be an undrafted free agent in the 2015 NFL Draft.

Grant spent three years in the NFL, moving around several practice squads before playing 10 games with the New York Giants in 2017. However, a knee injury ended his season, and he didn’t play in the NFL again.
Grant has a connection to head coach Luke Fickell, who was on the Ohio State staff from 2011-14. Grant now joins Wisconsin’s staff in a key role, as the Badgers finalize their front office.
Wisconsin has made quite a few moves with its staff this offseason. Chris Worley, who was the previous Director of Player Development, was moved to an on-field role, coaching the nickel corners as an assistant defensive back.
But in the front office, Wisconsin hired general manager Morocco Brown, who has an extensive NFL background. They also brought in Bradie Ewing to be the Director of Player Engagement, while Darius Hicks was hired to be the next Director of Player Personnel.
Now, Curtis Grant becomes the latest hire for the Badgers.
