Bo Nickal set for RAF Moscow match against Olympic gold medalist

Bo Nickal has another RAF match on the books.

Nickal already has one match set for RAF 12 on Aug. 22, where he’ll take on Max McEnelly. Two weeks later, on Sept. 5, he’ll travel to Moscow to take on Shirvani Muradov, the promotion announced Tuesday.

Nickal was last in MMA action at UFC Freedom 250, where he defeated Kyle Daukaus in the first round, marking back-to-back victories inside the octagon. The former national champion Penn State wrestler is staying busy on the mats under the RAF banner until his next UFC assignment comes in.

It’s a continuous relationship for Nickal, who competed at the very first RAF event in August 2025, when he defeated Jacob Cardenas on points. Since then, he’s competed twice in the UFC and is currently set for his second and third appearances in the growing wrestling promotion.

Muradov, 41, captured Olympic gold in freestyle wrestling in the 2008 Games in Beijing at 96kg. While he’ll bring an experience edge over Nickal, 30, the age gap could play in the UFC middleweight’s favor.
