The Indiana Fever guard became the fastest player in league history to make 200 career 3-pointers during Friday night’s home game against the Seattle Storm at Gainbridge Fieldhouse.
Clark reached the milestone in her 74th career appearance, continuing a historic start that has already included records for scoring, shooting and passing.
“More HERstory,” the Fever wrote on social media. “In only 74 games, Caitlin Clark has become the fastest player in WNBA history to reach 200 career three-pointers.”
Clark entered the night needing three 3-pointers to reach 200. She took care of the entire requirement during a brilliant first half against Seattle. The milestone shot came during an offensive explosion that helped Indiana build a double-digit lead before halftime.

Clark made an immediate impact after receiving clearance to play against Seattle. The 24-year-old scored 18 points in her first 11 minutes, shooting 6-of-12 from the field, 3-of-5 from beyond the arc and 3-of-3 at the free-throw line.
She also recorded five assists, three steals and a rebound while producing a plus-10 rating during that stretch. Clark’s third 3-pointer of the game officially pushed her to 200 for her WNBA career. She hit the milestone while helping Indiana score 52 points before the second quarter was complete.
The performance represented an encouraging response after Clark struggled from the perimeter in her previous three appearances. She shot 1-of-8 from 3-point range during Wednesday’s 88-75 loss to the Golden State Valkyries. Clark had made only two of her previous 19 attempts from behind the arc entering Friday.

That recent cold spell did nothing to slow her career pace.

Clark began her WNBA career by making 122 3-pointers during the 2024 regular season, breaking the league’s rookie record and finishing with the second-highest single-season total in WNBA history at the time. Only Sabrina Ionescu, who made 128 for the New York Liberty in 2023, had produced more in one season.
Clark’s ability to reach 200 so quickly is even more impressive when considering how much time she has missed. She was limited to only 13 appearances in 2025 because of multiple injuries, including a groin injury that eventually ended her season. Clark returned to WNBA action in 2026 after spending eight months away from competitive basketball.

She has also dealt with back discomfort and a recent leg contusion this season. The Fever have carefully managed her minutes, with Clark failing to reach 30 minutes in five consecutive games entering Friday.
Despite those interruptions, no player in league history has reached 200 made 3-pointers in fewer games. Clark has never been a conventional 3-point shooter. She regularly attempts shots from several feet behind the line, forcing defenses to account for her as soon as she crosses half court.
That range helped her make 548 career 3-pointers at Iowa, the most in NCAA Division I women’s basketball history. It has now carried her to another professional record.

Caitlin Clark continues rewriting WNBA history
The 3-point milestone came only five days after Clark became the fastest player in WNBA history to reach 600 career assists. She reached 600 assists in her 72nd game, beating the previous record of 81 appearances held by Ticha Penicheiro.
Clark also became the fastest WNBA player to reach 500 assists earlier this season, accomplishing that feat in 59 games. Sue Bird previously held the record at 82. The repeated milestones demonstrate what makes Clark such a unique offensive player. She is already one of the most prolific 3-point shooters in league history while also creating shots for her teammates at a record-setting pace.
Clark entered Friday averaging 19.7 points, 7.7 assists and 4.1 rebounds during the 2026 season. Her 7.7 assists per game ranked among the best marks in the league. Indiana entered the Seattle game at 14-10 and tied with the Atlanta Dream for first place in the Eastern Conference. The Fever needed a response after losing to Golden State at home Wednesday. Clark delivered one while making even more history.
