The WNBA announced on Wednesday that Indiana Fever guard Kelsey Mitchell has been named July’s Eastern Conference Player of the Month.
This past month, Mitchell scored a league-high 272 points, averaging 27.2 points per game, which ranked second in the WNBA. Mitchell scored 20-plus points in all 10 games played in July, leading the league in 20-point outings in July.

Mitchell’s 27.2 points per game average set a franchise record for the highest scoring average in a single month, surpassing her own previous high of 25.2 points per game set in August 2024. Mitchell led the Fever in scoring in seven of its 10 July games.
July’s 10 games were part of Mitchell’s ongoing 14-game streak with 20-plus points scored, which is also the longest streak in a single season in league history and the second longest overall.
Mitchell is still riding a 14-game streak of 20-plus points, which is the longest streak in a single season in league history and the second longest overall. The former Ohio State Buckeye has made three or more 3-pointers in 14 straight games, which is a WNBA record. Mitchell moved into sixth place in WNBA history for 3-pointers made, now with 757.

This is the first time in her career that Mitchell has won Player of the Month, joining Caitlin Clark (two times) and Tamika Catchings (three times) as the only Fever players to earn the honor. Mitchell’s win marks the second consecutive month that an Indiana Fever player has won the award, with Clark earning the distinction in June.
Clark earned consecutive Eastern Conference Player of the Week nods in July and head coach Stephanie White was named July’s WNBA Coach of the Month.
Mitchell and the Fever (19-11) face the Las Vegas Aces (21-9) on Thursday night at Gainbridge Fieldhouse at 6 p.m. CT on Amazon Prime Video.
