Caitlin Clark teases release of Taylor Swift inspired Nike shoes

It’s no secret that Caitlin Clark is a huge fan of music megastar Taylor Swift.

The Indiana Fever guard publicly lobbied for Swift to attend her Final Four clash with LSU, Iowa celebrated a Swift-themed game during Clark’s senior season, and Clark even watched a Kansas City Chiefs game with Swift from her luxury suite last season.

Now, Clark is paying homage to Swift through her own signature Nike shoe.

On Wednesday during an Fever practice, Clark was spotted wearing the Friendship Bracelet Caitlin 1’s — an exclusive colorway of Clark’s Nike basketball sneakers.

The upper of the shoe has a creamy off-white look, then colorful pastel shimmers on the sides. The laces are fuzzy, decorated with beads that fans of Swift might see on friendship bracelets at her concerts. Metallic swooshes on the sides and Clark’s logo in navy finish off the details.

Making these friendship bracelets and wearing them to Swift concerts became a cultural ritual amongst her fans during her popular Eras Tour, which began in March 2023 and ran through December 2024. Many believe the tradition was sparked by a lyric from her 2022 song, “You’re On Your Own, Kid,” which says, “So make the friendship bracelets, take the moment and taste it.”

The shoes are expected to be widely released to the public in February 2027. Currently on Nike’s website, the Caitlin 1 “Caitlin Blue” is available for pre-order at $140.

Clark has been teasing different colorways of her signature shoe this season, including an Iowa Hawkeyes-inspired yellow-and-black design. Clark has shown off additional colors of the shoes in a recent photoshoot she did for the magazine SLAM KICKS.

In her third WNBA season, Clark is third in the league in scoring and second in passing with 22.1 points and 8.3 assists per game this season. The Fever are 25-14, fifth in the standings, and have already clinched a playoff berth. Indiana hosts the Connecticut Sun on Friday at 7:30 p.m. ET on ION.

Next month, Clark will also make her major tournament debut with the senior U.S. national team as Kara Lawson’s squad plays in the 2026 FIBA World Cup in Berlin, Germany.
