The Denver Broncos have a tremendous secondary that’s among the best—if not the best—in the National Football League. Every starter from the 2025 season will be back in action for the Broncos for the upcoming 2026 season. In a crowded and loaded secondary, it will be tough for the half a dozen outsiders vying for a spot to make the final 53-man roster.
One of those players is former Oregon State cornerback Jaden Robinson. Robinson played for the Beavers from 2018 to 2024. A nagging shoulder injury limited his impact early on in his collegiate career, sidelining him to just a dozen games his first three years with the program. He missed the entire 2021 season and spent seven total years (six playing) at the collegiate level.

During his time in Corvallis, Robinson was mostly a reserve player. However, he saw an uptick in starts and an increased role in their defense from ‘23 to ‘24. Appearing in 44 games, Robinson finished his career with 89 tackles, 3 sacks, 1.5 tackles for loss, and 11 pass deflections.
Last year, Robinson was in a fierce battle with a handful of other rookies and veteran players. Ultimately, he was one of the Broncos’ final roster cuts, but eventually found a home on their 16-man practice squad shortly thereafter. Can he emerge this year and make the squad? Let’s discuss.

Jaden Robinson’s 2026 outlook with the Broncos
As I’ve authored in other roster profiles, it is going to be very hard for UDFA players to make this year’s team. That is especially true in the secondary, where every key starters and most reserves from last year are set to come back. Robinson’s athletic and physical traits are enticing. He posted a 9.1 Relative Athletic Score, which is quite good for an undrafted player.
However, he faces steep competition at the position. The Broncos appear to have their top five corners etched in with Patrick Surtain II, Riley Moss, Ja’Quan McMillian, Kris Abrams-Draine and Jahdae Barron. With that in mind, I don’t see Robinson having a realistic path to earning a spot on the final 53-man roster.

Final Thoughts
Robinson’s size and athleticism are NFL ready, but Denver has such a deep secondary it’s hard to envision him being one of the top five candidates at cornerback. Just like last year, he seems like a quality candidate for further development on the Broncos’ 16-man practice squad. In the event an injury were to transpire, there is a good a chance he is one of the first players tabbed to be the next man up.
