Texas has landed another big fish. Very big. 2027 five-star interior offensive lineman Ismail Camara has committed to the Longhorns. Camara was one of just four uncommitted five-stars before his Fourth of July pledge.
The 6-foot-6, 335 pound OL picked the Longhorns over SMU, Oregon, Texas A&M and LSU. Camara is ranked No. 29 overall in the nation and No. 4 IOL in the 2027 cycle, according to the Rivals Industry Ranking He’s the No. 4 player in the state of Texas.

Steve Sarkisian and offensive line coach Kyle Flood were instrumental on getting the Gilmer, Texas native to commit. Camara is the third five-star to commit to Texas from the 2027 recruiting class.
Texas also has commitments from five-star John Meredith III. The No. 2 player in the nation was named the biggest commitment in the month of June across college football. WR Easton Royal is also committed to Texas.
