Exeter Chiefs Women: Emily Tuttosi among seven players to leave

by

Long-serving hooker Emily Tuttosi is among seven players who will leave Exeter Chiefs Women at the end of the season.

The 30-year-old Canada international has been part of the Chiefs side since they first joined the professional ranks back in 2020.

She has scored 31 tries in 88 appearances for Exeter and will return to her homeland to take up a coaching role.

Fellow Canada international Abby Duguid will retire after a season at Sandy Park, while former Ireland captain Edel “Tricky” McMahon – who has spent the past four years at Sandy Park – is also leaving following an injury-hit 2025-26 season.

Abby Middlebrooke, Eleanor Febrey, Hannah Bluck and Ellen Scantlebury will also depart at the end of the season.

“Emily has been at Chiefs longer than I have,” said Exeter head coach Steve Salvin.

“She is experienced, she is hard-working and the very epitome of a team player on and off the pitch. She will be sorely missed.

“Tricky is a true ambassador for the women’s game. She has been through adversity with her injuries but has always come back stronger while remaining a positive influence from the sidelines.

“Abby arrived at Sandy Park to help us overcome an injury crisis. She was a welcome addition to our squad and fully contributed to our campaign this season. As with all our players leaving us at the end of the season, I wish her well.”
