It was a rough week for the Florida baseball program, which faltered in three of its four games, featuring a midweek loss to the Bethune-Cookman Wildcats and a series defeat at the hands of the Auburn Tigers — all within the confines of Condron Family Ballpark.
The Orange and Blue has swung back and forth between strong showings and weak performances the past several weeks, and this past one was among the latter. As a result, the USA TODAY Sports Baseball Coaches Poll demoted Florida by four spots, dropping the Gators to No. 22 in the latest rankings.

They now sit between the No. 21 Oregon Ducks and No. 23 USC Trojans.
Kevin O’Sullivan’s squad looks to bounce back this week, beginning on Tuesday night against the Jacksonville Dolphins before hosting the Texas A&M Aggies starting on Friday. The Gators really need a late-season run if they want to secure a spot among the schools hosting regional play in the postseason.
SEC schools in Baseball Coaches Poll Week 10
The Texas Longhorns are still the top-ranked SEC team at No. 4 overall, followed by the Georgia Bulldogs (No. 5) and the Texas A&M Aggies (No. 7) and Auburn (No. 9) — all of whom also sit among the top 10. The Mississippi State Bulldogs (No. 11), Oklahoma Sooners (No. 13), Alabama Crimson Tide (No. 15), Ole Miss Rebels (No. 18), Florida (No. 22) and Arkansas Razorbacks (No. 24) round out the conference’s representation among the top 25.
