That could mean either that FSU absolutely nailed their visits or that they offered more in NIL money. Who knows, but it’s clear they did something right, because Holly has some real potential.

“I think just the coaches loving me. They want me the most,” Holly told Warchant.com. “I could see myself here playing early, freshman year, so that’s going to be fun. I think we’re going to bring this place back to what it was.”

Holly is the No. 42 edge rusher in the country and the No. 62 player in Georgia.

Seminoles need to continue to improve their 2027 recruiting class

The Noles have the No. 36-ranked class in 2027. That’s down from their 14th-ranked class last cycle. They are still expected to land 10 more recruits, but, of course, things change quickly in recruiting.

Of those ten recruits, three are four-star recruits. The rest are three stars, but good football players that are good programs also want. The four stars are all on defense in defensive lineman Sam LeJeune, linebacker Gregory Batson, and safety Ta’Shawn Poole. The latter two of the three are also from Georgia, so it seems head coach Mike Norvell has established a good recruiting pipeline there for this cycle.

The Noles still need more offense in this class. They need another receiver, maybe another running back, and some more offensive linemen. On defense, they definitely need a lot of cornerbacks and secondary players. Getting edge rusher Jaxon Holly is a good start to hopefully get some momentum rolling.
