The Indiana Hoosiers have added a big man with SEC starting experience.
According to college basketball insider Jon Rothstein, former Alabama forward Aiden Sherrell has committed to coach Darian DeVries’ team. Sherrell, a 6-foot-10 sophomore from Detroit, saw minimal action as a true freshman last year but started 34 games this past season.

Sherrell averaged 11.1 points and 6.2 rebounds per game. He also led the Crimson Tide and ranked in the top 15 nationally in blocks per game with 2.2.
A five-star recruit and McDonald’s All-American coming out of high school, Sherrell is heading to the Big Ten with two remaining seasons of eligibility.
The Hoosiers went 18-14 in DeVries’ first season, but they missed the NCAA tournament for the third year in a row. He’ll hope to end that drought in Year 2, and Sherrell now joins a transfer class that sits at five players and also includes Samet Yigitoglu (SMU), Darren Harris (Duke), Markus Burton (Notre Dame) and Jaeden Mustaf (Georgia Tech).
