One of Iowa women’s basketball’s fan favorites has a new coaching gig.
Molly Davis was introduced as a new assistant coach at Eastern Kentucky in the Atlantic Sun Conference last week. Eastern Kentucky was the ASUN regular-season champion last season and earned a WBIT invite. The Colonels finished the 2025-26 campaign 25-9 (15-3 ASUN).

Davis arrives in Richmond, Ky., after spending the past two seasons at the University of Evansville, where she served as a graduate assistant and assistant coach.
“Molly has been part of championship-level culture throughout her career. Playing in two national championship games alongside Caitlin Clark gave her experience very few young coaches can bring to a program,” Eastern Kentucky head coach Greg Todd said of Davis. “She understands the elite preparation, player development, toughness and commitment it takes to compete for championships.”
Davis played point guard at Iowa for a pair of seasons, averaging 5.9 points, 3.0 assists and 2.5 rebounds per game on 53.9% shooting, 40.7% 3-point shooting and 85.7% free-throw shooting in the 2023-24 campaign.
