Former Sacramento Kings athletic trainer Crystal Lee has filed a lawsuit against the team and senior director of athletic health Jaspreet Randhawa, alleging pregnancy discrimination, sexual harassment, retaliation and wrongful termination.
Lee, who worked for Sacramento from 2022 to 2025, claims her role was reduced while she was pregnant and that her responsibilities remained limited after she returned from maternity leave.
According to the lawsuit, Randhawa told Lee, “You’re f—ed,” after learning about her pregnancy and said her life “is ruined after you have kids.”
Lee also claims another employee later told her Randhawa attributed her reduced role to “the baby, bro.”
Lee alleges she discussed the situation with general manager Scott Perry in May 2025 and was told “complainers will not be tolerated.” She was fired the following month.
The lawsuit also includes sexual harassment allegations involving head coach Doug Christie and Cameron Brown, son of former Kings coach Mike Brown.
Lee claims Christie repeatedly looked at her while saying, “don’t report me to HR,” while Brown allegedly continued asking her to meet outside work despite being rejected.
The Kings denied the allegations.
“The Sacramento Kings categorically deny these allegations and reject the characterization of the organization and its workplace reflected in these claims made by a disgruntled former employee,” team attorney Alexis Gabrielson said.
Sources close to the team reportedly say Lee never reported the alleged sexual advances while employed by the organization and that she had requested a change in her role while maintaining the same compensation.
Perry, Randhawa and Christie are not named as defendants in the lawsuit.
