Purdue men’s basketball opened its Canada trip with a pair of victories before taking Monday off.
The Boilermakers are back on the court Tuesday night against the University of Calgary for a 9 p.m. tipoff. The Dinos went 17-17 last season and lost in the USports Final 8.

Calagary coach Dan Vanhooren was an assistant coach for Team Canada when it played scrimmages against Purdue as both teams prepared for the 2017 World University Games in Taipei. After playing Purdue, the Dinos will play Cincinnati and Arkansas in the summer version of the Baha Mar tournament in the Bahamas.

Purdue opened with a 102-63 victory over Vancouver Selects, a collection of college players from the area, on Saturday. Gicarri Harris and Antione West Jr. scored 20 points apiece.

The Boilermakers followed with an 82-66 victory over Trinity Western on Sunday. Daniel Jacobsen collected 14 points, five rebounds and three blocks, while West added 13 points and three steals.
