Allisha Gray scored five points in the closing seconds as Atlanta came back from 15 points down to beat the Dallas Wings 82-81 on Wednesday night. Gray hit all three free throws after a flagrant foul on a 3-point attempt with 18.7 seconds left and then hit a contested jumper with 15 seconds left to give the Dream its only lead of the second half. Angel Reese finished with 22 points, 12 rebounds and four steals, and the Atlanta bench outscored the Wings reserves 21-1.
The Storm returned from the All-Star break on Tuesday night with a 105-95 loss to the visiting Indiana Fever. Natisha Hiedeman went off for a career-high 33 points with six rebounds in the loss while Flau’jae Johnson added 16 points. Seattle played without All-Star center Dominique Malonga, who was out with a back issue.
Gray averages 19.3 points for the Dream while Rhyne Howard scores 17.2 points per game. Reese gets 15.6 points and 11.5 rebounds a night, and Jordin Canada puts up 11.3 points and 7.7 assists per contest. Malonga, listed as day-to-day, averages 16.3 points and 8.5 boards for Seattle, with Hiedeman posting 16.1 points and 4.6 assists per game.
