Ryan Garcia warns Ilia Topuria that boxing him would be a bad idea.
UFC lightweight champion Topuria (17-0 MMA, 9-0 UFC) has used his crisp boxing to take out current featherweight champ Alexander Volkanovski, former champ Max Holloway, and BMF champ Charles Oliveira consecutively.

Ahead of his title-unification bout against Justin Gaethje in the UFC Freedom 250 headliner on June 14 at the White House, Topuria spoke out on his desire of one day lacing up the gloves.
“Boxing is definitely something where I say, ‘Wow, I’d love to do that,’ but I’d love to do it with someone big, someone real with an established name,” Topuria said in a translated interview with ABC. “Someone who could add to my resume which I’ve worked so hard to build. I wouldn’t want to put it in the hands of a nobody, just for money.”
WBC welterweight champion Ryan Garcia was thrown at Topuria as a suggestion, and the lightweight champion was all for it.
“That would be a huge fight, I’d love it,” Topuria responded. “I see a fight like Ryan Garcia being very comfortable for me. I think I would break him long before it gets to the judges decision.”

Garcia clapped back at Topuria with a stern warning.
“You are a damn good striker for MMA that’s it. You wouldn’t be sipping on tea after our fight you would be eating thru a straw after our fight. Stay in your lane. I’ll gladly stay in mine.”
