Pierce coached the Purple Eagles for 11 seasons, compiling a 113-205 overall record. Pierce’s best season at the helm of Niagara came back in the 2023-24 season when the team went 21-14 where they made it to the second round of the WNIT tournament.
The team finished second in the MAAC standings in both the 2022-23 and 2023-24 seasons while making it to the conference title game in the latter season. In the 2024 MAAC championship game, Niagara lost 70-62 to Fairfield after having a two-point lead late in the fourth quarter.
In those two seasons the team compiled a 39-27 record, using a full-court press dubbed “Hurricane Havoc,” which allowed Niagara to lead the nation in steals in both seasons.
The team has struggled in each of the last two seasons though going a combined 4-53.

Pierce’s 113 wins are good for the second most in program history, only trailing Bill Agronin’s 169 career victories.
During her 11 seasons, Pierce coached five 1,000 point scorers including the program’s all-time leader for points, Victoria Rampado who had 1,823 career points. She also coached 17 MAAC award winners.
The search for a new head coach will be underway immediately.
