The Georgia Bulldogs could be getting a major defensive line commitment on May 15. That’s when five-star defensive lineman David Folorunsho will announce his commitment, according to Hayes Fawcett. He will decide between Georgia, Notre Dame, Miami, Texas Tech and Michigan, and he will do it live on the Rivals YouTube channel.
Folorunsho is a five-star from the class of 2027. The 6-foot-4, 280-pound defensive lineman plays high school football for St. Patrick High School in Chicago, Illinois. He is the No. 3 defensive lineman and No. 37 prospect in the nation, according to Rivals.

Location-wise, Michigan or Notre Dame would be the closest proximity to him. In fact, Rivals’ prediction model has him committing to the Notre Dame Fighting Irish.
However, Georgia is a top university at recruiting elite defensive linemen Dating back to the class of 2016, which was Kirby Smart’s first recruiting class, they’ve earned eight five-star defensive line/end commits, and they’ve earned at least one five-star commitment in eight of Kirby Smart’s 10 enrolled recruiting classes.
The Bulldogs recruiting class is down to No. 18 in the nation after four-star corner Jerry Outhouse flipped to UCLA. However, they have five-star running back Kemon Spell and cornerback Donte Wright, and another top talent could catapult the Bulldogs to a top-10 recruiting class.
