Jayson Tatum speaks on ‘incredible’ Duke meet-up in Las Vegas

Former Blue Devil and current Chief Basketball Officer Jayson Tatum was among Duke alumni present at a recent Brotherhood dinner in Las Vegas. While there, Tatum took the time to reflect on the meeting, detailing what the program does to stand out from others throughout the country.

“This is incredible,” said Tatum.

“To have a space in an event like this where you know guys that played with, came after you, played way before you—we all are bonded by, you know, this amazing program, and it’s just cool to like see guys we haven’t seen in a while.”

Tatum went on to say that Duke’s basketball brotherhood is unlike any other school, and it’s difficult to disagree. As of last season, Duke had 25 alumni in the NBA, two fewer than Kentucky. That said, head coach Jon Scheyer has produced more NBA talent than any other school since taking over as Duke’s coach, including three selections in the 2026 NBA Draft.
