Jeff Gordon Joins NASCAR Legends in Amazon Prime’s New Broadcast Lineup

NASCAR will be broadcast on Amazon Prime for the next five Cup Series races. In doing so, Prime is laying it all out there with notable big names. Among others, Jeff Gordon will be a popular name featured on the desk coverage, where Gordon joins Danielle Trotta and Corey LaJoie at the San Diego race at Naval Base El Coronado.

Not to be confused with the race booth, which will feature Adam Alexander, Dale Earnhardt Jr., and Steve Letarte, Gordon will be featured on the studio desk. That will feature analysis of the race, with one former driver joining the desk for each of the five races on Prime.

The upcoming races being streamed on Prime feature: Charlotte, Nashville, Michigan, Pocono, and San Diego. The coverage runs through June 21st.

Legends Join the Prime Studio Desk

The one-off appearances on the desk will be as follows, as announced earlier on Tuesday.

Jeff Gordon is one of the most recognizable names in NASCAR over the last 25 years. Strategically, Prime has Gordon on the desk for the sole road course circuit on the broadcast schedule. Gordon currently holds the NASCAR record for the most road course wins (9).

These days, Gordon is heavily involved with Hendrick Motorsports as their Vice Chairman. He has historically shown up on Fox broadcasts, so the appearance is nothing new.

Carl Edwards makes an awaited return to the Prime broadcast. Fans are happy to have Edwards back on the desk, with the fan reactions below on X wishing that he would be on the desk for more than the single race.

Mark Martin is another fan favorite, making his desk appearance in Nashville. Martin is vocal on social media these days. He is widely regarded as the greatest NASCAR driver to never win a championship, along with Denny Hamlin. Martin has also been a big critic of the NextGen car.

Fans have wondered where Truex Jr. has been since his retirement in 2024. Well, he is alive and well, as fans joke. Truex Jr. will be on the desk for the race at Michigan. Truex has run strong at Michigan in his 34-race career at the track. Despite never finding victory lane, Truex has 11 top-5’s and 16 top-10’s at Michigan. He also has NextGen experience to speak on that Edwards, Martin, and Gordon do not have.

Keselowski is the sole active driver who will be on the desk. He will do double duty as a desk member before running in the race itself at Pocono.

Prime has not been shy to roll out the red carpet. They have a vast cast of personalities in various roles over the next five races, spanning 13 people.
