Joey Logano is back in victory lane. On Sunday night, Logano and the No. 22 team for Team Penske won the Window World 450 at North Wilkesboro Speedway, earning their first victory of the 2026 NASCAR Cup Series season. The driver of the No. 22 car was utterly dominant, leading over 300 laps.
Following the event, Logano spoke about his dominant win at North Wilkesboro, which was much-needed with his position in the point standings.

“That sounds great,” Logano said. “A win anywhere at this point would have sounded great. Coming here to North Wilkesboro is awesome. I picked up a passenger on the backstretch. What a great car. Paul Wolfe, what a great car he put together for us today. Just was able to execute a smooth place. Everyone on pit road did a good job. Engine and Roush Yates was good. It’s good to get back into victory lane. It’s been a tough year. So getting the Shell-Pennzoil Mustang doing some big, smoky doughnuts around this place felt really good.”
“I think it’s just something that clicks for us. Paul put together a good car. I think I know exactly what I need to go fast around this place. He’s able to give it to me. I knew coming into this weekend, we got to capitalize on the points. A win was great, but we really need the points. Really capitalized on those tonight.”
Logano now sits 15th in the standings with a 49-point advantage to the Chase bubble. It has been a very tough season for Logano and the No. 22 team; however, if he can make the Chase, it would give him another opportunity at winning a fourth championship. After all, no one in the field wants to see Logano get hot.
