Mr. Ohio finalist set to announce college commitment

by

Ryan Day and the Ohio State football coaches have a top-10 2027 recruiting class but have largely moved on to the 2028 class. However, there is still one more domino to fall with the current class, and the Buckeyes have a chance to add another talented player on the defensive side of the ball. Brayton Feister of Akron, Ohio, will announce his commitment on Friday, August 14, live on the Pat McAfee Show.

Feister transferred to Massillon Washington High School ahead of his senior year after spending previous years at Archbishop Hoban in Akron. As a linebacker and running back at Hoban, Feister was a finalist for the Mr. Ohio Football Award in Division II. He was also the Division II Co-Defensive Player of the Year in the Buckeye State.

One might think that being an Ohio native would give the Scarlet and Gray the upper hand. But that doesn’t necessarily seem to be the case in this recruitment. With a final four of Ohio State, Cal, Georgia, and Oregon, it’s the Ducks that are getting all the buzz. Dan Lanning‘s club has received several crystal ball picks to land the Northeast Ohio four-star prospect.
