Junior National Qualifier Seth Burger Chooses Boston College For 2027
NEW COMMIT: Boston College has picked up a new verbal commitment for the 2027-28 season and beyond from Seth Burger of Potomac, Md. Burger is a Junior National qualifier who excels in backstroke, breaststroke and IM.
Regarding his commitment, he said:
“I am super excited to announce my verbal commitment to continue my academic and athletic career at Boston College! I would like to thank my family, friends, and teammates for their support throughout this process. I would also like to thank Coach Chris, Coach Staci, Coach Bob, Coach Rory, and Coach Dan for helping me to develop into the swimmer and person I am today. Lastly, I want to thank Coach Dara and Coach Bruno for this incredible opportunity! GO EAGLES!”
Burger, who does his club swimming with All Star Aquatics, was a six-time finalist at the ISCA International Senior Cup in March where his highest finish was a fifth-place showing in the 200 back. He earned three best times at Richmond Speedo Sectionals this past May and competed at Greensboro Futures last summer.
His best times include:
- 50 back – 24.82
- 100 back – 50.76
- 200 back – 1:47.23
- 200 IM – 1:53.55
- 400 IM – 4:01.33
- 100 breast – 57.95
- 200 breast – 2:07.33
A rising senior at Bullis School, Burger finished fifth in the 100 breast and ninth in the 100 fly at the 2026 WMPSSDL Championships after winning the 100 fly and taking second in the 100 back at the 2026 IAC Championships. He finished ninth in the 200 IM and 10th in the 100 back at this past season’s Washington Metro Championships, too.
Burger is a great pickup for the Eagles, as he would’ve ranked third on their roster last season in the 200 back.
