LSU Tigers coach Kim Mulkey is still very proud of her former players years after they have left the team. Mulkey hailed Atlanta Dream star Angel Reese, whoreached the milestone of 1000 rebounds in Saturday’s 113-96 victory over the Indiana Fever.
Mulkey expressed her pride in Reese on social media, sharing multiple Instagram posts on her Story that highlighted the Dream star’s achievement. The Dream forward became the fastest WNBA player to reach 1,000 rebounds, doing so in 79 games.

Mulkey also tagged Reese and added three exclamation marks to convey her excitement.

Reese broke the record previously set by WNBA legend Tina Charles, who secured her 1000th rebound in her 89th game. Reese shattered that record by a full 10 games.
During her time at LSU, Angel Reese won the national championship in 2023 and was the tournament’s MOP. She was also a two-time WBCA Coaches’ All-American and was the SEC Player of the Year in 2024. While she started out with the Maryland Terrapins, her transfer to LSU changed the trajectory of her career.

Angel Reese’s Flagrant Foul vs. Caitlin Clark’s Indiana Fever Might Cost Her
On Saturday, Angel Reese had amassive performance against Caitlin Clark’s Indiana Fever, logging 18 points and eight rebounds to help the Dream cruise to an 113-96 win at home. However, her performance was marred by a flagrant foul she received during a rebounding battle with Indiana Fever forward Damiris Dantas. It was initially ruled a common foul but was upgraded to a Flagrant 1, bringing her to two flagrant points.
These flagrant points accumulate throughout the season, and Reese is just two points away from being suspended. A Flagrant 1 also carries a $500 fine.
