Tennessee’s women’s basketball team earned academic recognition from the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association.
The Lady Vols are one of 34 NCAA Power Four programs, and one of seven SEC schools, to earn special recognition from the organization for their collective 3.285 grade point average as part of the WBCA’s 2025-26 Academic Team Honor Roll.

It marks the second consecutive season that head coach Kim Caldwell’s team has earned the distinction. The Lady Vols placed 12 members of their 2025-26 roster on the SEC Academic Honor Roll.
The WBCA Academic Top 25 Honor Roll recognizes women’s college basketball teams across the nation in their respective regions to carry the highest combined GPA’s, inclusive of all-student athletes on their rosters for the entire season. A team must have a combined a GPA of 3.0 or better and be nominated by its head coach, who must be a member of the WBCA to be recognized. The 2025-26 season is the 31st in which the WBCA has combined its honor rolls.
“The WBCA is pleased to recognize those women’s basketball programs that have committed themselves to excellence on the court and in the classrooms,” WBCA executive director Danielle Donehew said. “The 119 ranked teams we honor this year across all five collegiate divisions strive to achieve all-around success and we commend their efforts. Congratulations.”
