It will be the first time both programs have faced each other in over 20 years. The last matchup came in November 2005, a 27-point win for ‘Cuse.
Sacred Heart ended the 2025-26 season with a 13-18 overall record and a 10-10 record against the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference.
This is the second confirmed non-conference opponent the Orange will face in the upcoming campaign. Syracuse will host Oklahoma as part of this year’s SEC/ACC Challenge.
Reports also indicate Syracuse will travel down the road to take on Le Moyne. The team also previously confirmed it will play an exhibition against UConn in Connecticut on October 12.
The full schedule for the upcoming year will be released “at a later date,” according to the program.
