Las Vegas Aces All-Star A’ja Wilson will not play on Sunday, July 5, against the Indiana Fever (7 p.m. ET, ESPN) because of a right ankle injury.

Wilson’s ankle was injured during the fourth quarter against the Chicago Sky on June 28. She fell to the floor after securing a loose ball and grabbed her ankle. Wilson got up and went to the locker room before returning. The Aces center, who played 34 minutes, finished the matchup with 30 points on 57% shooting, 15 rebounds, four steals and three blocks.

Wilson, 29, has missed 16 games in her WNBA career including the Commissioner’s Cup on June 30 against the New York Liberty.

Wilson is having another MVP-caliber season, averaging 25.7 points, 9.4 rebounds, 2.9 assists, 1.6 steals and 2.0 blocks. She leads the WNBA in points per game and blocks per game. Wilson is also fourth in blocks and is 10th in steals per game.

Caitlin Clark will also miss her second straight game. She did not play in the Fever’s Saturday, June 27, game against the Los Angeles Sparks. Earlier that week, Clark left a June 24 game against the Phoenix Mercury at the 5:15 mark in the third quarter with a back injury and did not return.
