The USA dominated the team events at the Tlaxcala 2026 Pan American Championships, winning three of the four titles on offer.
The Americans claimed recurve men’s gold by defeating Colombia in the final, recurve women’s gold against Mexico and compound men’s gold over Colombia.
The recurve women’s victory marked a successful title defence from the 2024 Pan American Championships, with Casey Kaufhold and Jennifer Mucino returning to the winning team alongside Olivia Martin.
Mexico prevented a clean sweep by taking compound women’s gold, defeating Colombia in the final, while the USA claimed bronze.
The team finals also served as the main qualification event for the Lima 2027 Pan American Games.
In recurve, the top five teams in each gender secured three quota places.
The qualified men’s teams were USA, Colombia, Chile, Mexico and Brazil. The qualified women’s teams were USA, Mexico, Brazil, Colombia and Guatemala.
A secondary qualification tournament on Thursday awarded one individual quota place to nations that had not already qualified. Cuba, Canada and El Salvador secured the men’s places, while Canada, Argentina and Venezuela qualified in the women’s event.
