Wilson has been suspended one game and fined an undisclosed amount. Both Speier and Wilson were thrown out of the game.
The throw was seemingly in retaliation for something that had happened in the bottom of the seventh inning, when a wild throw from Tigers reliever Enmanuel De Jesús hit Mariners catcher Cal Raleigh in the stomach.
The Mariners went on to win the game 4-2.
