MSU basketball listed in top 10 of preseason poll from CBS Sports

Michigan State basketball remains just outside the top five in the latest updated preseason poll from CBS Sports’ Gary Parrish.

Parrish released an updated version of his preseason poll for the upcoming college basketball season, and to no surprise, Michigan State is listed near the top of rankings. He has Michigan State just outside the top five as his No. 6 team in the country.

Among Big Ten teams, Michigan State is only listed behind Illinois — who is at No. 3. From there, Parrish also has Michigan (No. 8), UCLA (No. 17), USC (No. 20), Purdue (No. 21), Indiana (No. 23) and Ohio State (No. 25).

The Spartans have been commonly found in the No. 5 to No. 10 range in most of the preseason polls I’ve recently came across. So this rankings from Parrish is right in line with the common opinion that Michigan State will be a very good team entering next season.
