Nate Diaz breaks silence on Mike Perry loss

by

Nate Diaz returned to mixed martial arts for the first time in nearly four years on May 16 in the MVP MMA: Rousey vs. Carano co-main event. The former UFC title challenger took on Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship’s “King of Violence” Mike Perry and suffered a largely one-sided TKO loss.

Diaz released a statement via social media on Tuesday breaking his silence for the first time since the defeat.

“I wasn’t happy with my inactivity, but a lack of opponents will do that,” Diaz wrote on Instagram. “It was easy to get up for me in this fight. Now I think it’ll be even easier to get up for him. Either way, shoutout to Mike on the win and for getting me off my ass.

“Now I’ve got a target. Hunting season. Take the motherf**ker out.”
