New Florida State guard transfer Kam Taylor will get an early opportunity to test himself against some of the top talent in college basketball before his first season with the Seminoles.

Taylor has been invited to participate in the exclusive Jayson Tatum Elite Camp in Las Vegas, one of the premier offseason developmental showcases for college basketball players. The invite-only camp, hosted by Boston Celtics superstar Jayson Tatum, annually brings together some of the top college and high school prospects in the country for several days of training, competition and instruction from NBA players, coaches and evaluators.

The Jayson Tatum Elite Camp has become one of the most respected offseason events in basketball circles, drawing participation from elite collegiate players and attracting scouts and personnel from across the professional basketball landscape. The camp provides players with an opportunity to compete against top-tier talent while receiving instruction and mentorship from current NBA stars.

For Taylor, the invitation offers another chance to elevate his profile ahead of the 2026-27 season. Expectations are already high for Florida State under second-year head coach Luke Loucks, who aggressively rebuilt the Seminoles’ roster through the transfer portal and recruiting following his return to his alma mater.

He is expected to play a significant role for the Seminoles this season, and his selection to the Jayson Tatum Elite Camp serves as an early indication of the respect he has earned nationally entering his first year at Florida State. For a program looking to reestablish itself as an ACC contender, having one of its newest additions invited to one of basketball’s most exclusive offseason events is another encouraging sign heading into the fall.
