Olimpia Milano has officially added American guard Garrison Mathews, bringing the veteran sharpshooter to Europe after his latest NBA stint with the Indiana Pacers.
The 1.96-meter guard arrives with extensive NBA experience, having appeared in 329 games across spells with the Washington Wizards, Houston Rockets, Atlanta Hawks and Pacers.
The player averaged 6.4 points during his NBA career while converting 38.2% of his three-point attempts.
“I’m excited to begin a new chapter in my career,” Mathews said. “I greatly appreciate the opportunity Olimpia Milano and its coaching staff have given me. I’m eager to get to work and help the team in any way I can.”
The move represents a new stage for Mathews, who entered the NBA in 2019 after spending four seasons at Lipscomb University.
During his college career, he became Lipscomb’s all-time leading scorer and was named Atlantic Sun Conference Player of the Year.
Mathews will now bring his shooting and NBA experience to Milano as the Italian club strengthens its backcourt.
