Skip Bayless is known for his controversial takes at times, and this one may upset a few people.
Giving his verdict on X after the Indiana Fever‘s win over the Dallas Wings, Bayless believes that Caitlin Clark ‘outplayed’ Paige Bueckers with an MVP-level performance.

He said: ‘Wings down 2 starters but Caitlin outplayed Paige. Each had 29 but Caitlin shot it better and had 10 assists – an MVP-caliber performance after turning hr ankle late first half.’
Caitlin Clark and Paige Bueckers both put up identical 29-point performances, but perhaps the fact that the Indiana Fever defeated the Dallas Wings 98–87 swayed his decision.
The Fever guard shot 11-of-18 from the field (61.1%) alongside 10 assists and 3 rebounds. Bueckers was equally impressive as Dallas’s focal point, tallying 29 points on 11-of-21 shooting (52.4%), to go with 6 rebounds and 6 assists.

The Wings guard has delivered a stellar campaign of her own, keeping pace with 20.2 points, 5.8 assists, and 4.1 rebounds per game while boasting higher shooting efficiency at 50.2% from the field and 38.4% from three-point range.
