Paddy Pimblett: ‘I’m gonna absolutely rinse’ Topuria and Tsarukyan’s lives

by

Paddy Pimblett would not hold back in potential fights against Ilia Topuria and Arman Tsarukyan.

Pimblett (24-4 MMA, 8-1 UFC) is seeking a big matchup after submitting Benoit Saint Denis in just 52 seconds at UFC 329 in July. “The Baddy” is known for his mic skills, but says he would never manufacture beef like he felt Sean Strickland and Khamzat Chimaev did for their title fight at UFC 328.

But when talking about potential fights with Topuria (17-1 MMA, 9-1 UFC) or Tsarukyan (23-3 MMA, 10-2 UFC), Pimblett didn’t mince his words.

“If I fight Ilia or Arman, I’m going to absolutely rinse their lives,” Pimblett said on Green Light podcast. “I’m going to absolutely terrorize them. But if I fight Max Holloway or Charles Oliveira, I wouldn’t because I respect them, and I like them. Don’t get me wrong: I respect Ilia, but we’ve had beef for years.

“I think he’s a little helmet. I’d love to fight him and give him sh*t. Arman Tsarukyan, I’ve got no respect for at all. He’s just rich kid whose daddy’s a millionaire. Arman’s a good fighter, but I just can’t respect him because he’s living on daddy’s money and without daddy, he wouldn’t be where he is. He’s sitting there eating $2,000 caviar for breakfast.”

Topuria is coming off a lightweight title loss to Justin Gaethje at UFC Freedom 250 in June. Meanwhile, Tsarukyan is booked against Mauricio Ruffy in the UFC 331 co-main event on Sept. 19 at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.
