2025 Rookie of the Year Paige Bueckers made it to her second consecutive All-Star Game this year. As the captain of Team Coop put in a commendable performance in a losing effort, logging 12 points and a team-high 7 assists as Team Spoon won, 129-122. However, a 30-second clip from the after-party garnered more attention from fans than anything she did on the court.
X page Brick Center shared a clip originally posted by user pski, featuring Paige Bueckers, which garnered 2.6 million views. It showed Bueckers dancing alongside several other players, including Seattle Storm guard Natisha Hiedeman in a white tank top and camouflage jacket in a packed club.

In just her second year, Bueckers has continued to light up the stat sheet like in her rookie season, and that’s why she earned back-to-back All-Star appearances in the first place.
Averaging 20.9 points, 6.2 assists, and 4.2 rebounds, the 2025 Rookie of the Year helped power a stunning turnaround compared to the team’s last two seasons, when they went 9-31 and 10-34.
Bueckers has been the driving force behind the Dallas Wings’ success, who are currently sitting at 18-9.
However, fans didn’t seem to take her on-court contributions in the All-Star Game or 2026 regular season into account after the clip surfaced.

A section of fans felt great seeing Bueckers winding down with her fellow WNBA players. “Glad they are having fun,” wrote one fan, while another added: “Not gonna lie, Paige seems like a very fun party pal!”
However, not everyone shared that view, with some arguing that in the clip of her dancing in the nightclub Bueckers didn’t live up to being a role model. Some even compared her to Caitlin Clark, who kept a relatively low profile during the entire All-Star Weekend.
“They don’t deserve a party after the s— show they put on. [Caitlin] Clark looked embarrassed to even be around them on the court,” a fan wrote.

One fan even went as far as to say, “If you want to know why HS girls basketball participation has dropped by 20% since 2000, look at this video.”
The National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS) survey the fan referenced found that participation between 2000 and 2025 had fallen from 451,600 student-athletes across 16,526 schools to 356,240 athletes across 18,208 schools.
Meanwhile, another joked, writing, “Grok, give me a video to define the opposite of aura,” another fan joked.
Naturally, fans also argued among themselves, with one of the fans who saw nothing wrong with Bueckers having fun after the game. Another asked, “What’s the big f—— deal? She’s a young WNBA player having a good time,” the fan commented.

With Brick Center’s post getting over 2.5 million views and over 500 comments, and Pski’s original post getting 4 million views, it’s safe to say the discussion around this clip will continue.
