The historic one-of-one White House card, UFC Freedom 250, goes down this weekend (Sun., June 14, 2026), with UFC Lightweight champion, Ilia Topuria, unifying the 155-pound title against interim titleholder, Justin Gaethje, in the Paramount+-streamed main event.

In the co-main event, Alex Pereira attempts to make UFC history by winning a third title in a third division when he takes on multiple-time Heavyweight title challenger, Ciryl Gane. The entire card takes place on the South Lawn in Washington, D.C., to celebrate America’s 250th anniversary.
And with just five days left until showtime, the promotion has revealed brand-new custom UFC Freedom 250 gloves that fighters will use during their bouts.
You can buy blue UFC Freedom 250 commemorative MMA gloves for $49.99, because of course you can.
UFC gloves have had a bumpy road over the past few years. The promotion introduced a brand-new glove design that was supposed to help reduce eye pokes, only to replace them less than a year later after plenty of criticism from fighters and fans.

Now, UFC is rolling out another custom look for one of the strangest and most historic fight cards in company history.
Check them out below:
Two-time Featherweight title challenger Diego Lopes, who kicks off the historic card against top contender Steve Garcia, was filmed trying on the gloves as he checked in for fight week.
While the custom UFC Freedom 250 fight kits for the event are pretty wack, I actually kind of dig the gloves.
Apparently, I may be in the minority because fight fans were not impressed.
“YUCK,” one fan wrote.
“Instead of making custom gloves, the UFC should be looking into ways to improve their gloves so that there are less eye pokes,” another fan wrote. “Fans would much rather important fights don’t get stopped because of eye pokes rather than seeing fighters wearing red gloves.”
“These gloves are lame as hell, I’m sorry,” another fan added.
“Should’ve been black gloves with Freedom 250 logo,” another fan suggested.
“There’s not a single thing they’ve done with this event that’s made me think, ‘Wow, this is great,’ other than the fights,” another fan wrote.
Other reactions were even more brutal.
“Lmfao looks like a Halloween costume.”
“They look like they were made by a toddler.”
“Looks like some little kid gloves you buy at Dick’s Sporting Goods.”
“These are genuinely disgusting.”
“The UFC just really knows how to ruin everything.”
So, yeah, the reviews are not exactly glowing.
What say you, Maniacs? You dig the gloves or nah?
