NASCAR’s West Coast swing continues this weekend as the Cup Series heads north from San Diego to Sonoma Raceway for Sunday’s Toyota/Save Mart 350.
The official entry list is set, with 36 drivers scheduled to compete on the historic Northern California road course. There are no open entries this weekend, meaning every car entered will make the race.

While much of the attention will be focused on Shane van Gisbergen this weekend, Sonoma Raceway presents a unique challenge. The 1.99-mile, 12-turn permanent road course features significant elevation changes, technical corners, and a layout that has long rewarded both road-racing specialists and veteran Cup Series drivers.
Van Gisbergen enters the weekend as the betting favorite, but several proven road-course contenders will be looking to challenge him, including points leader Tyler Reddick, Northern California native Kyle Larson, and road-course veteran AJ Allmendinger.

Sonoma Could Play a Major Role in the Regular-Season Championship Race
With only nine races remaining before NASCAR’s postseason begins, Sunday’s Toyota/Save Mart 350 carries significant weight for several championship contenders.
Tyler Reddick enters Sonoma atop the Cup Series standings with an eight-point advantage over Denny Hamlin. Kyle Larson moved back into the top five following a strong weekend at Naval Base Coronado, while Ryan Blaney, Ty Gibbs, Christopher Bell, and William Byron remain firmly in the hunt near the front of the standings.
Sonoma’s road-course layout has historically produced both expected winners and surprise contenders, making it one of the more unpredictable stops on the schedule. A strong finish can provide a valuable points boost, while a mistake can quickly erase ground in the regular-season championship battle.
The race could also have playoff implications for drivers still searching for a victory. With nine races left before the postseason field is set, every opportunity becomes increasingly important.
